Dr Arpan Desai
Dr. Arpan Desai graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics. He went on to complete medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – TCOM. After he graduated in 2000, he pursued his residency training in Anesthesiology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Because of his special interest in the advanced diagnosis, treatment, and management of pain, he elected to complete an additional Fellowship year at Northwestern University in Pain Management.
Dr. Desai is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is also a proud member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Medical Association, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Spine Intervention Society.
Prior to joining Principal Spine and Pain Consultants, Dr. Desai practiced with University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. He was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He served as Chief of Anesthesia Services and Vice President of the Medical Staff at University Hospitals Conneaut Medical Center. He was also Chairman of the Surgical Governance Committee. During his time there, he developed and served as Medical Director of the Spine and Pain Center at both University Hospitals Conneaut and Geneva Medical Centers.

Dr. Desai has quickly established himself as a top pain management physician in North Texas. He believes in compassionate pain management care and a customized treatment program based on the individual needs of his patients. His goal his functional restoration and pain relief with the utilization of the most advanced treatment options available.
Dr. Desai joined Principal Spine and Pain Consultants in August of 2015. He is a native Texan and returned to North Texas after practicing in Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and three children.
